Arbitrator and mediator with ADR Chambers International, Alan practises primarily in Australia and the United Kingdom. He has over 40 years experience in the conduct and resolution of major commercial disputes, with a particular focus on intellectual property, competition law and administrative decisions. Virtually full time since 1996, he has wide experience, having mediated over 1500 significant commercial and intellectual property disputes in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. A Chartered Arbitrator (CIArb) and a barrister of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Courts of the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. He is a Member of The Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators of Australia. He earned a Master of Dispute Resolution (MDR) at the University of Technology, Sydney, in 1997, and is a Specialist Accredited Mediator, Law Society of New South Wales since 1995. Alan is a much loved father figure to the Faculty of the International Chamber of Commerce annual student mediation competition in Paris.
